  When the high-speed automatic paper feeder receives the paper, the web paper running at the speed of 3.8m/s should be completely static in a short time (about 3 seconds) and reach zero speed state.   The braking voltage applied by the electric control box to the electromagnetic brake is superimposed on a starting voltage according to a certain rising rate. Therefore, the brake of web paper is a gradual deceleration process, which not only needs strong braking, but also needs smooth transition. If the braking time is too long, the web can not be completely static in a short time; if the braking time is too short, the web may be torn. Therefore, when the brake of high-speed automatic paper feeder breaks down, it is necessary to check the electromagnetic brake carefully and detect or debug the braking voltage.

  The adjustment of braking voltage is divided into two parts: one is the adjustment of starting voltage; the other is the adjustment of voltage rising rate. When the electromagnetic brake starts to brake, a starting voltage will be applied first. Generally, the manufacturer of the paper feeder will set the starting voltage value in advance. In the setting, the initial tension that the paper can bear is usually considered, and the value is small.

  As a user, do not change this value easily. Only when the braking torque of the electromagnetic brake has a significant downward trend due to large wear, the starting voltage value can be increased, which is generally controlled between 2 and 5V.

  The numerical adjustment of the rising rate can not be changed too much at a time, and it needs to be adjusted and determined step by step according to the paper receiving condition. Because the setting size of this parameter has a great relationship with the amount of paper used in the paper storage rack during the paper receiving process. If the rising rate is set too high, the braking torque of the electromagnetic brake will increase correspondingly, and the paper tape will be easily broken during the paper receiving process; if the rising rate is set too small, the braking time of the web will be prolonged, which will cause the paper in the paper storage rack to run out quickly, resulting in the paper receiving failure. Therefore, for large web or high-speed printing paper, the rising rate can be set higher.
